Montessori

Dr. Montessori was one of the most important early years educators of the 20th century, the innovator of classroom practices and ideas which have had a profound influence on the education of young children the world over.

Montessori saw that children held within them something wonderful, something so special that it could be the key to changing the world. She saw that they were inherently good and that, if allowed to develop freely, they felt connected to everything and were naturally caring to each other and the world around them.

The Montessori educational approach has an emphasis on independence, freedom within limits, and respect for a child’s natural psychological, physical, and social development.
